Gottman Couples Inventory:
Drs. John and Julie Gottman, world-renowned for their research in marital stability and divorce predictors, have developed a detailed relationship strengths and vulnerabilities inventory for couples. It’s a self-paced questionairre that can help your relationship go from “good to great,” harmonize the dance between you, and course-correct your vehicle for the journey ahead. Working with Monica Olsen, LMFT, and each other, the assessment consists of five steps.
Couples meet with Monica for a “get acquainted” session to establish repoire and communicate your initial goals. You’re then asked to complete a series of questionnaires and return them to Monica for scoring and evaluation.
Monica will next meet with each of you individually, then again as a couple.
In the fourth session we’ll discuss the strengths in your relationship identified, as well as areas needing work. Goals are established in this session, resources identified, and a plan is developed. At this point you may decide to take what you’ve learned and work on it as a couple, to find group support– or to move forward with individual or couples therapy.
In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized
approach tailored to each of my clients’ goals, providing tools, insight, and coaching
support in seasons of change and growth.
